All hair used must come from the tail unless otherwise stated and
hair should be washed before sending
Cutting Hair
Tail hair should be cut from several places so as not to cause gaps in
the horses tail.
Take the hair from the bottom looking for the longest strands and cut near
the tailbone. Pull away any short hairs before cutting
For a standard braided bracelet hair should be between 12" - 18" in
length and about the width of a pencil. The more hair the thicker the
weave
*The bracelets pictured are made using 200 strands of hair which gives an
approx. 5mm width round bracelet *
Once you have gathered your hair secure the top end with a rubber band
Washing Hair
Rinse hair to rid of surface dirt and bits and wash twice in a gentle shampoo
with a final rinse and lay on a towel or paper towel to dry
Do not use conditioner and make sure hair is thoroughly dry before posting.
Place dry hair in a bag with your name inside or attached so there is no
confusion from where it has come from
Keep hair flat and do not knot or braid before posting as this will affect the
quality of the weave
Extra Notes
Do not worry if you don't have a lot of tail hair as smaller pieces can be made
or if you don't have any horse hair but would like to commission a piece,
let me know using the contact us page.
There is a £5.00 extra charge for bracelets made using my stock of horse
hair
Horse Hair designs can take up to
two weeks to complete depending on the design chosen

Please note the shipping costs quoted are for standard Airmail without insurance. Missing parcel claims can not be made on uninsured parcels.
I would advise all International customers to pay for extra insurance with tracking in the event of losses.
